Sandra Maniago started Loko Sport in 2006 as a way of realizing a childhood dream of designing her own fashion collection. We are a company that values social responsibility and inclusion:
Loko Sport is 100% designed and manufactured in Canada. We value a positive work environment that treats workers with respect and provides employment to our neighbours. Our makers follow Canadian employment and environmental laws while providing quality construction. There is no need to coat our clothes with formaldehyde since they are not being imported and are made right here at home.
Loko Sport is Eco-conscious. We use Bamboo which is biodegradable and require no pesticides. Bamboo is a naturally wickable and breathable fabric. We are also using eco-friendly technical fabrics. Chitosante is EPA certified and achieves it's anti-bacterial properties from the shells of crabs and shrimp! It is also breathable, fast-drying, wickable, non-toxic, pill resistant and odour resistant. Our new Leopard print fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles.
