We are privileged to live and work on traditional Indigenous territories across Southwestern Ontario – sacred land that we are borrowing from future generations, and which we have a responsibility to protect and steward. This region is home to over 10 First Nations communities as well as many thousands of Indigenous peoples living in cities and towns. As a program of a charitable organization, working in the finance and investments industry, and funded by government and private philanthropy, VERGE Capital is complicit in those colonial systems that are built on (and continues to be shaped by) systemic and structural racism.
